Salary: £37,634 per annum
Contract: Fixed term contract ending 31st of March 2028

At Ocean Housing, we're looking for a proactive and knowledgeable Property Services Co-ordinator (Assets) to join our Property Services team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in maintaining and improving our housing portfolio, helping ensure our homes remain safe, sustainable and fit for the future. 

As part of a dedicated and customer-focused team, you'll undertake surveys, oversee property-related projects, support disabled adaptations, manage asset data and contribute to strategic investment decisions that directly benefit our customers and communities. 

What you will be doing:

You will be responsible for coordinating and undertaking a variety of property and asset management activities, including:

  • Carrying out stock condition surveys and inspections to inform asset investment decisions.
  • Assessing completed works to ensure quality standards are achieved.
  • Managing applications for tenant improvements and disabled adaptations.
  • Maintaining accurate asset management records and property data.
  • Undertaking energy assessments and supporting energy efficiency initiatives.
  • Liaising with contractors, local authorities, colleagues and customers to ensure excellent service delivery.
  • Investigating and resolving customer issues and complaints professionally and effectively.
  • Supporting continuous improvement by monitoring performance and identifying opportunities to enhance services. 

What we are looking for:

We're seeking someone who combines technical property knowledge with outstanding organisational and customer service skills.

Essential Requirements

  • A Level (or equivalent Level 3 qualification)
  • HNC in Building Construction or equivalent qualification
  • Significant experience in asset management activities
  • Experience carrying out property and stock condition surveys
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent organisational, communication and customer service skills
  • A methodical approach with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently
  • Understanding of GDPR and workplace health and safety requirements
  • Ability to travel across operational locations as required. 

Desirable:

  • Diploma in Surveying Practice or equivalent Level 5 qualification
  • Domestic Energy Assessor qualification
  • RICS membership
  • Knowledge of the social housing sector
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience driving service improvements and performance enhancement initiatives.
