An established global manufacturing business is looking to recruit a Purchase Ledger Controller to join its finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-oriented finance professional to join a collaborative environment where accuracy, efficiency and continuous improvement are highly valued.
Working within a busy accounts payable function, you'll be responsible for ensuring supplier invoices are processed accurately, payments are made on time and supplier relationships are maintained through effective query resolution. You'll also contribute to process improvements and support the wider finance team with a range of transactional finance activities.

- Process supplier invoices accurately and within agreed timescales.
- Working with UK & overseas sites.
- Manage incoming invoices through the accounts payable system.
- Prepare and process supplier payment runs.
- Reconcile supplier statements and investigate outstanding balances.
- Resolve invoice and payment queries, escalating where appropriate.
- Liaise with internal departments and suppliers to ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Assist with month-end activities and reporting requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the accounts payable function.
- Previous experience within Purchase Ledger, Accounts Payable or a similar finance role.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to processing financial information.
- Strong communication skills with the confidence to build relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- The ability to resolve queries efficiently and identify practical solutions.
- Experience using SAP or another ERP system would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Experience working with international suppliers would be beneficial.
