An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced QA/QC Manager with a strong electrical background to join a major project team delivering a technically complex data centre project.
The successful candidate will take overall responsibility for quality assurance and quality control across the project, working closely with the Project Management team, client, main contractor, consultants, and specialist subcontractors.
This is a key site-based position, responsible for ensuring electrical installations are delivered to the required quality standards, specifications, and project requirements, while leading the wider QA/QC function through installation, inspection, testing, commissioning, and handover.
The role would suit an experienced QA/QC professional who has worked on data centres or other technically complex M&E projects and is comfortable taking ownership of quality across a large-scale project environment.
Key Responsibilities-
Lead and manage the site QA/QC function, including QA/QC Engineers and Inspectors.

Establish and implement project quality procedures and inspection processes.

Ensure electrical installations comply with approved designs, specifications, standards, and client requirements.

Develop and manage Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and associated quality documentation.

Coordinate inspections, testing, system walkdowns, and quality activities with the client, main contractor, and subcontractors.

Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure quality standards are consistently maintained.

Identify, record, and manage non-conformances through to successful close-out.

Manage punch lists, quality observations, and outstanding works throughout the project.

Attend and lead quality meetings with the client and project stakeholders.

Provide regular updates to the Project Management team on quality performance, risks, and areas for improvement.

Track quality performance and produce relevant reports and statistics.

Ensure inspection records, test documentation, certificates, and handover information are completed accurately and on time.

Support the project through testing, commissioning, and final handover.

Work closely with engineering, construction, commissioning, and commercial teams to resolve quality issues.

Promote a strong culture of quality, safety, accountability, and continuous improvement across the project.

Carry out any other duties reasonably required as part of the role.

Proven experience in a QA/QC Manager or Senior QA/QC position within the M&E or construction sector.

Strong electrical bias with a detailed understanding of electrical installations and quality requirements.

Previous experience working on data centre projects is highly desirable.

Experience managing QA/QC teams on large-scale or technically complex projects.

Strong knowledge of inspection, testing, commissioning, quality procedures, and project documentation.

Experience working with main contractors, clients, consultants, and specialist subcontractors.

Good understanding of relevant health, safety, environmental, and quality systems.

Strong understanding of ITPs, NCRs, inspections, punch lists, and project handover processes.

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple quality activities.

Strong communication and leadership skills.

Commercial awareness and a clear understanding of project delivery requirements.

Takes ownership and accountability for quality performance.

Proactive approach to identifying issues and driving continuous improvement.

Relevant electrical or engineering qualification would be advantageous.
