The Opportunity

As a Quality Assurance Co-ordinator, you'll play a key role in managing and controlling the technical activities surrounding raw materials entering the business. You'll be responsible for ensuring quality, safety, compliance, and traceability standards are consistently met whilst supporting wider technical and product development activities.

This is a hands-on role that combines quality assurance, technical administration, supplier liaison, and product quality control. You'll spend time both in the office and within a cold store environment, making this an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied working day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out incoming material quality checks and sampling activities
  • Monitor and review laboratory and microbiological test results
  • Investigate out-of-specification results and liaise with suppliers
  • Manage non-conforming products and stock hold processes
  • Conduct routine traceability and palletisation audits
  • Review temperature monitoring data and implement corrective actions
  • Support customer complaint and non-conformance investigations
  • Coordinate external laboratory testing
  • Create and maintain product specifications and quality standards
  • Support new product development projects and production trials
  • Manage product samples and sample records
  • Monitor food waste data and support sustainability reporting
  • Maintain accurate technical records and management information

About You

We're looking for someone who already has experience within a QA, Quality Assurance, Technical, or Specifications role and who is passionate about delivering high standards.

You'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience within food manufacturing, food production, or FMCG environments
  • Experience working within QA, Quality, Technical, or Specifications functions
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to work independently and manage your own workload
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
  • A full driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Confidence working across both office and cold store environments
