Quality Control Manager

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Quality Control Manager to lead their quality assurance function and drive continuous improvement across the business. This is an excellent opportunity to play a pivotal role in ensuring customers receive exceptional service and the highest standards of product quality.

The Role

As Quality Control Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing quality processes across the business, managing customer quality concerns through to resolution, leading a small field-based quality team, and working closely with the factory to identify and prevent recurring issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact for customer quality concerns and complaints, ensuring issues are resolved professionally and efficiently.
• Investigate product and installation issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective corrective actions.
• Manage, coach and support a team of two Quality Controllers who travel throughout the UK carrying out inspections and quality assessments.
• Review quality trends and provide regular reports and recommendations to senior management.
• Work closely with factory and production teams to identify opportunities for improvement and prevent quality issues before they occur.
• Develop and maintain quality control procedures and best practices.
• Monitor service standards and ensure customer expectations are consistently exceeded.
• Coordinate field inspections and ensure all investigations are completed within agreed timescales.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement across all areas of the business.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• Previous experience in a Quality Control, Quality Assurance or Quality Management role.
• Experience managing and developing a small team.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong investigative and analytical abilities with a focus on root cause analysis.
• The ability to build effective working relationships across operational and manufacturing teams.
• A proactive approach with a passion for delivering high standards.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Competence using Microsoft Office and reporting systems.
• A full UK driving licence.
