Night Shift: Monday to Friday, 21:30 - 06:30 | £15.53 per hour
We are recruiting on behalf of a successful and expanding food manufacturing business in Newcastle-under-Lyme and are looking to speak with Quality Assurance and Quality Control professionals interested in either day or night shift opportunities.

The Role
As a Quality Assurance Technician, you'll be responsible for ensuring products meet customer specifications, food safety standards, and legal requirements throughout the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out food safety, quality, due diligence, and legal compliance checks.
- Complete start-up, temperature, metal detection, X-ray, and label verification checks.
- Monitor product weights, sizes, and specifications during production.
- Verify recipe accuracy and ingredient measurements.
- Review production paperwork and traceability records.
- Investigate and manage non-conformances, ensuring corrective actions are completed.
- Maintain accurate quality documentation and records.
- Ensure GMP and hygiene standards are maintained across site.
- Conduct routine product sampling and quality inspections.
- Support customer visits, audits, and compliance activities.
- Work closely with Production and Technical teams to drive quality standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
What We're Looking For
- Food Safety Level 2 qualification.
- Experience within a QA, QC, or food manufacturing environment.
- Understanding of HACCP and food safety principles.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
- Good literacy, numeracy, and IT skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
