Quality Controller in Colchester, Essex

Nolan Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a Colchester-based client who are seeking an experienced Quality Controller to join their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a quality-focused professional with a manufacturing or engineering background who is passionate about maintaining high standards, improving processes and driving quality excellence across the business.

The Role

Key Responsibilities

• Ensuring products consistently meet the highest quality standards.
• Conducting inspections and quality checks across production and operational processes.
• Investigating quality concerns and implementing effective corrective actions.
• Analysing quality data and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Working closely with colleagues across multiple departments to enhance quality performance.
• Building strong relationships with suppliers and customers to support quality objectives.
• Supporting continuous improvement projects and helping to drive best practice throughout the business.
• Maintaining accurate quality documentation and records.
• Assisting in the development and improvement of quality procedures and processes.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Previous experience working within a Quality Control position in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• A proactive approach to continuous improvement.
• The confidence to make recommendations that improve quality and efficiency.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience maintaining quality records and databases.
