Quality Controller

Apply today to work as a Quality Controller for our client's production- fruit & vegetable distribution site.

Staffline is recruiting Quality Controllers in Thrapston.

The rate of pay is:
- 0-12 weeks £12.90 per hour
- 13-26 weeks £13.16 per hour
- 27+ weeks £13.56 per hour

This is a full-time role working fixed shifts and the hours of work are:
- 6am to 6pm

Your Time at Work

As a Quality Controller you will be responsible for:

- Making routine checks on products and packaging to make sure that they're correct from a food safety and legality perspective
- Using relevant systems to record information and demonstrate traceability and due diligence on behalf of the site and company, and escalating any non-conformances to prevent product withdrawals or recalls
- Working towards minimising and preventing any loss of sales or profit whilst ensuring customer requirements are continually met
- Quality checks may involve temperature probing, swabbing, weight and size checks

- Able to work in varying temperatures of around 8 degrees and below (we provide full protective clothing)

The following experience is desirable, but not essential:

- Quality Control and understanding of product allergens
- Food Safety Level 2 and/or HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) Level 2

Previous manufacturing and food handling experience is preferred but not essential, as full training will be given.
