Quality Engineer

We are seeking a shift based Quality Engineer to work for a successful international manufacturing company based in Whitstable.

This is a shift based role working the following rotating shift pattern:

Week 1: Monday-Friday: 6am-2pm

Week 2: Monday-Thursday: 2pm-10.30pm and Friday: 2pm-7.30pm

The salary (inclusive of shift allowance) will be £45,000-£47,500 dependent upon experience.

Key responsibilities:

• Responsible for Performing and Maintaining detailed records of Inspection Plans, ISIRS, and FAIRS.

• Developing Measurement Policies to reduce scrap in the machine shop.

• To be participate in product Design Reviews to promote repeatability and reliability for production.

• Conduct capability studies / gage R&R as directed.

• Carries out such other duties that may be reasonably requested.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

• Working Knowledge of Metrology with a background in Quality Engineering.

• Able to understand and read engineering drawings.

• Excellent knowledge of Quality Systems

• Ability to Maintain Detailed Quality records.

• Applied Working Knowledge and use of basic Metrology tool, Imperial and Metric.

• Understanding manufacturing processes and tolerances.

• Ability to clearly communicate technical information to technical and on-technical colleagues.

• Accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to work unsupervised and meet deadline under pressure.
