A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Engineer to join an excellent bespoke manufacturer in the Trowbridge area.
With no day ever being the same the Quality Engineer role offers genuine long-term progression and career development within a first-class manufacturing environment.
Commutable from Melksham, Trowbridge, Chippenham, Bradford-on-Avon, Devizes, Bath, Corsham, Calne, Warminster, Westbury, Frome
Role & Responsibilities:
- Drive Continuous Improvement (CI) and Kaizen initiatives.
- Audit and improve manufacturing processes and quality controls.
- Lead root cause investigations using 5 Whys and 8D methodologies.
- Reduce quality and production risks through FMEA and Control Plans.
- Monitor KPIs and implement actions to improve performance.
- Manage customer quality issues, CAPA activities, and support NPI/APQP projects.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- 2-3+ years' experience in Quality Engineering or Manufacturing.
- Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing, CI, and Kaizen.
- Strong problem-solving skills using structured methodologies.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and change control.
- Six Sigma and/or Statistical Process Control (SPC) experience.
- Electronics manufacturing experience or IPC-A-610/IPC-A-620 knowledge desirable.
