Senior QC Technician – Microbiology | Maidstone | On-site
Salary: £27,700 – £41,500 + benefits
We're recruiting a Senior QC Technician for an established diagnostics and biopharma manufacturer based in Maidstone, Kent.
This is a hands-on QC Microbiology role acting as lab deputy — running routines and rotas, keeping equipment and consumables ready, and providing light supervision to junior staff. It's the highest technician grade before supervisory level.
What you'll be doing:
- Environmental monitoring and cleanroom sampling
- Keeping equipment readiness and consumables stock on track
- Light supervision of junior staff
- Deputising in team meetings
- Writing SOPs
What we're looking for:
- Solid, hands-on QC/microbiology experience — pharma background preferred, not food industry
- Good understanding of microbiology, not just basic knowledge
- Comfortable writing SOPs and communicating across the team
- Experience valued over qualifications — a PhD alone won't be the deciding factor
