Quality Support Technician

Reporting to: QHSE Manager

We are looking for an experienced Quality Support Technician to join our Quality team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out first-off, patrol, and final inspections of engineered components, ensuring compliance with customer specifications, technical drawings, and AS9100 requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform first-off, patrol, and final inspections of machined components.
  • Conduct First Article Inspections (FAIRs) and support Inspection Test Plans.
  • Operate and programme CMM equipment.
  • Review production documentation and verify compliance with drawing requirements.
  • Raise and investigate non-conformances, supporting corrective actions.
  • Support production teams in resolving quality issues.
  • Provide calibration support and contribute to continuous improvement activities.
Requirements
  • Experience in production inspection within a machine shop environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including GD&T.
  • Competent using handheld measuring equipment and CMM machines.
  • Understanding of non-conformance processes and quality documentation.
  • Aerospace and/or nuclear industry experience desirable.
  • Apprentice trained with City & Guilds or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience with FAIR software and CMM programming (Aberlink, QCT, or Mitutoyo preferred).
