Quantity Surveyor | Contract | Up to £500 per day

Advance TRS is recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team on the delivery of major HV power infrastructure projects.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-value transmission and distribution schemes, supporting the commercial delivery of projects for leading clients across the UK power sector.

The Role

You'll provide commercial support across the full project lifecycle, from pre-contract through to final account, ensuring projects are delivered commercially and contractually in line with NEC requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing pre- and post-contract commercial activities.
  • Cost management, forecasting and reporting.
  • Preparing and assessing valuations, variations and final accounts.
  • Contract administration and NEC contract management.
  • Supporting procurement and subcontract management.
  • Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities.
  • Working closely with project teams to ensure successful commercial delivery.

About You

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the Power Transmission & Distribution sector.
  • Experience working on National Grid, DNO or ICP projects.
  • Previous experience working for a main contractor delivering HV infrastructure projects.
  • Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and stakeholder management skills.
  • MRICS qualification is desirable, although experienced candidates working towards chartership will also be considered.
