Quantity Surveyor

I’m working with a smaller, established contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to take commercial responsibility across a varied portfolio of projects.
This is an all-round commercial role covering both pre and post-contract duties, with projects ranging from smaller works through to approximately £2m across commercial, public sector and residential refurbishment.
The Role
- Preparing estimates and tender submissions
- Procurement of subcontractors, labour, materials and plant
- Commercial management of projects from tender through to final account
- Preparing interim valuations and pricing variations
- Managing project costs and protecting commercial margins
- Working directly with clients and their representatives
- Producing and agreeing profitable final accounts
What they're looking for
- Experienced Quantity Surveyor with an all-round contracting background
- Strong refurbishment experience
- Comfortable with both estimating/pre-construction and project QS duties
- Experience across commercial, public sector and/or residential projects advantageous
- Able to independently manage projects up to approximately £2m
- Commercially minded and comfortable working within a smaller contractor environment
