An established and highly respected main contractor is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team on the Channel Islands.
With a strong pipeline of secured work across residential, commercial, mixed-use and refurbishment projects, this is an excellent opportunity to join a business that offers long-term stability, career progression and exposure to a diverse portfolio of construction projects.
This position is ideally suited to a Quantity Surveyor with previous main contracting experience who is looking to take ownership of projects while enjoying the lifestyle benefits that come with relocating to the Channel Islands.
Reporting into the Commercial Manager/Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to final account.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Cost planning, forecasting and budget control
- Procurement and management of subcontractor packages
- Preparation and agreement of valuations
- Managing variations and change control
- Subcontractor payments and account management
- Risk and opportunity management
- Financial reporting and project performance analysis
- Supporting successful project delivery from inception through to completion
- Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a Main Contractor environment is essential
- Proven track record delivering construction projects from a principal contractor perspective
- Experience across commercial, residential, mixed-use or refurbishment projects
- Strong understanding of contract administration and commercial processes
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Degree qualified or equivalent preferred
- Must hold a British Passport or unrestricted Right to Work in the UK
- £55,000 - £75,000 Basic Salary - open to negotiation
