Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking for your next career move with a leading built environment consultancy?

Conrad Consulting is working with a highly regarded multidisciplinary consultancy to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join their growing London team.

This is an excellent opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of major projects, ranging from £500k to £300m, with exposure to sectors including Education, Life Sciences, Commercial, Healthcare, Residential and Heritage.

The Role

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will take ownership of projects from inception through to completion, acting as a key point of contact for clients and project teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the day-to-day delivery of multiple quantity surveying projects.
  • Leading client and project meetings with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Preparing feasibility estimates, cost plans and pre-tender estimates across RIBA stages.
  • Providing strategic cost advice and ensuring projects remain within budget.
  • Advising on procurement strategy, contracts, risk management and value engineering.
  • Preparing, issuing and evaluating tenders.
  • Producing contract documentation and managing the tender process.
  • Providing pre and post-contract quantity surveying services.
  • Managing project costs throughout construction.
  • Preparing monthly cost reports and agreeing valuations.
  • Assessing and negotiating variations and final accounts.
  • Undertaking cost research, market testing and data analysis.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants and contractors.
What We're Looking For

We're keen to hear from Quantity Surveyors who have:

  • Previous Quantity Surveying consultancy experience.
  • An RICS-accredited degree or equivalent qualification.
  • MRICS status or be actively working towards chartership.
  • Strong pre and post-contract QS experience.
  • Experience with JCT contracts.
  • A good understanding of procurement, tendering, cost reporting and contract administration.
  • Excellent client-facing and communication skills.
  • Experience with QS software such as CostX, Bluebeam or similar.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • A full UK driving licence.
