Location: Oldbury, West Midlands
Salary: DOE + Car Allowance

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established property maintenance and refurbishment contractor delivering planned maintenance and repairs across the social housing sector.

This role offers the chance to play a key part in the commercial success of multiple projects, working closely with operational teams, clients and subcontractors to ensure works are delivered profitably and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the commercial aspects of planned maintenance and refurbishment projects.

  • Prepare and submit applications for payment.

  • Price variations and manage project valuations.

  • Monitor project costs, cashflow and profitability.

  • Review and manage Schedule of Rates (SOR) data.

  • Finalise completed works to support timely invoicing.

  • Manage subcontractor accounts, variations and payments.

  • Procure best value from subcontractors and suppliers.

  • Produce accurate cost forecasts and financial reports.

  • Identify commercial risks and support project teams with contract compliance.

  • Prepare quotations, estimates and loss & expense claims where applicable.

  • Ensure all commercial processes are completed accurately and in line with contractual requirements.

Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction or property maintenance.

  • Strong knowledge of NHF Schedule of Rates.

  • Experience with JCT, NEC and NHF forms of contract.

  • Understanding of Price Per Property and Target Cost contract models.

  • Social housing experience is desirable.

  • Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills.

  • Strong IT and financial reporting skills.

  • Full UK driving licence preferred.
