Quantity Surveyor / Estimator

Location - Wigan

Salary/Package - £50,000 - £65,000 + Excellent Benefits Package

Our client is a well-established specialist contractor delivering high-quality internal joinery, commercial fit-out, refurbishment, and external cladding projects across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to strengthen their commercial team.

As Quantity Surveyor / Estimator, you will be responsible for:

• Preparing accurate estimates and competitive tenders for commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects

• Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation

• Producing detailed quantity take-offs and cost plans

• Procuring subcontractors and obtaining supplier quotations

• Managing the commercial aspects of projects from tender through to final account

• Preparing valuations, applications for payment, variations, and final accounts

• Monitoring project costs and producing commercial reports

• Identifying commercial risks and value engineering opportunities

• Working closely with Project Managers and operational teams to ensure successful project delivery

• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors

The successful Quantity Surveyor / Estimator will have:

• Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor, Estimator, or in a dual commercial role within the construction industry

• Experience within commercial fit-out, interior refurbishment, joinery, or specialist subcontracting would be highly advantageous

• Strong commercial awareness and estimating ability

• Experience preparing valuations, variations, and final accounts

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills

• Good understanding of construction contracts and commercial processes

• Strong Microsoft Excel and IT skills

• A proactive, organised, and commercially driven approach

• Full UK Driving Licence

• Competitive basic salary of £50,000 - £65,000
