A leading Tier 1 contractor delivering major water and wastewater projects on behalf of Thames Water is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.

Working across the full project lifecycle, you will support the commercial delivery of projects from tender award through to final account, working closely with project teams, clients, and the wider supply chain to ensure successful commercial outcomes.

Duties for Quantity Surveyor

• Support the commercial delivery of projects from contract award through to final account
• Prepare and agree valuations, variations, and measurements
• Procure and administer subcontract packages, including tender enquiries and negotiations
• Monitor project costs, forecasts, cash flow, and commercial performance
• Assist in the management of commercial risks, opportunities, and change control
• Produce monthly cost reports, forecasts, and commercial reporting
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal delivery teams
• Ensure compliance with NEC contracts and commercial procedures
• Support Senior Quantity Surveyors and Commercial Managers in the successful delivery of projects

Qualifications & Experience for Quantity Surveyor

• Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Assistant Quantity Surveyor within construction, utilities, infrastructure, or engineering
• Strong working knowledge of NEC forms of contract
• Good commercial awareness and cost management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications
• Experience within the water industry is advantageous but not essential
