Quantity Surveyor

Quantity Surveyor Required in Central London

We are currently working with an established drylining contractor based in Central London, who specialise in delivering drylining and associated packages across the commercial fit-out sector.

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of projects, they are looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor with experience in drylining, partitioning, ceilings or commercial interiors, looking to join a growing contractor and take responsibility for a range of high-quality projects across London.

Responsibilities of the Quantity Surveyor:

• Managing the commercial aspects of drylining and fit-out projects.
• Preparing and reviewing project budgets, valuations and forecasts.
• Managing subcontractor accounts, payments and variations.
• Preparing and submitting interim valuations and applications for payment.
• Identifying, pricing and agreeing variations and additional works.
• Monitoring project costs and commercial performance.
• Reviewing contracts, specifications and drawings.
• Assisting with tendering and estimating where required.
• Managing client and subcontractor relationships.
• Preparing and agreeing final accounts.
• Working closely with Project Managers and Contracts Managers to maximise project profitability.
• Ensuring commercial procedures and reporting requirements are followed.

The Requirements of the Quantity Surveyor:

• Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within construction.
• Strong commercial and contractual awareness.
• Experience managing subcontractor and/or client accounts.
• Good knowledge of variations, valuations and final accounts.
• The ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commercial awareness.
• The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
