Quantity Surveyor – Landscape Construction

Our client is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial delivery of landscape and external works projects. This role offers involvement across the full project lifecycle, from tender through to final account.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare cost estimates, tenders, and feasibility studies
- Analyse drawings, specifications, and project requirements
- Procure and manage subcontractors and suppliers
- Administer contracts (JCT, NEC or similar)
- Monitor budgets, cash flow, and project profitability
- Produce valuations, variations, and final accounts
- Identify and manage commercial risks
- Liaise with project teams, clients, and stakeholders
Requirements
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
- Proven experience in a QS role (landscape or construction desirable)
- Strong commercial, contractual, and negotiation skills
- Knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., JCT/NEC)
- Proficient in Excel and cost management tools
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
- MRICS or working towards (desirable)
