Quantity Surveyor

Our client has an opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join them on a fixed term contract until May 2027. You'll work closely with design and construction teams, manage costs with precision, and help ensure every scheme runs smoothly and successfully. Role: Quantity Surveyor
Location: North Tyneside - 3 days per week onsite
Hours: Monday to Friday 09:00-17:30
Salary: £45,000 PRO RATA

What you'll be doing:

• Support Surveying and Estimating teams in appointing and managing contractors, suppliers, and consultants
• Prepare accurate cost plans and Bills of Quantities for both pre- and post-contract stages
• Collaborate closely with project teams to identify changes early and manage change control effectively
• Plan and manage your workload proactively to minimise risk and avoid disputes
• Work seamlessly with design and construction teams to ensure integrated project delivery from start to finish
• Contribute to successful outcomes by maintaining strong communication and coordination across all stakeholders

Requirements:
Essential:

• Professional qualifications with an appropriate level of experience in Quantity Surveying
• Ability to prioritise tasks and deliver work within agreed deadlines
• Broad knowledge of construction techniques and industry standards
• Commitment to achieving Chartered status with a relevant professional body within agreed timescales
• Strong client-facing skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams
