Our client, a globally leading EPC organisation, is seeking a Contracts Administrator / Quantity Surveyor to join a major capital project based in Royston. Working as part of the site delivery team, you will provide contract administration support to the Contracts Manager and Construction Manager, ensuring effective management of construction contracts throughout the project lifecycle.
This role is ideally suited to a mid-level Contracts Administrator or Quantity Surveyor with approximately 5–10 years of experience supporting site-based construction projects within the process, pharmaceutical, chemical, industrial or engineering sectors.

Key Responsibilities
- Draft and issue contractual correspondence, including letters, notices and responses to contractors.
- Support the administration of construction contracts throughout project execution.
- Attend and support weekly contractor progress and commercial meetings.
- Monitor contractor compliance with contractual requirements and obligations.
- Maintain contract documentation, records and correspondence registers.
- Support the management of variations, compensation events and change processes.
- Assist with contractor applications, progress assessments and general commercial administration activities
Liaise with project, construction and commercial teams to ensure contractual matters are effectively managed. - Provide day-to-day support to the Contracts Manager and Construction Manager.
Requirements
- 5–10 years' experience in Contracts Administration and/or Quantity Surveying.
- Previous site-based experience supporting construction projects.
- Background within engineering, industrial, pharmaceutical, chemical, process plant or infrastructure projects preferred.
- Good understanding of contract administration principles and construction project delivery.
- Experience working with contractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Knowledge of NEC and/or IChemE contracts would be advantageous.
- Strong communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills.
