The Opportunity
Damicor is supporting an established infrastructure contractor in the search for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team based at Maple Lodge.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded Quantity Surveyor to play a key role in the financial management and commercial delivery of projects within the water and utilities sector.
Working closely with project delivery and commercial teams, you will help manage project costs, maximise commercial performance and ensure projects are delivered efficiently and profitably.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the commercial and financial aspects of projects from inception through to final account.
- Prepare, submit and agree interim valuations and payment applications.
- Manage variations, compensation events and change control.
- Monitor project costs, budgets, forecasts and cash flow.
- Manage subcontractor packages, including procurement, payments and final accounts.
- Work with Project Managers and operational teams to identify commercial risks and opportunities.
- Maintain accurate commercial records and provide regular cost and value reports.
- Support contractual administration and ensure compliance with relevant contract terms.
- Assist with the preparation and agreement of final accounts.
- Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering, utilities or the water sector.
- Strong commercial awareness and project cost management skills.
- Experience with valuations, variations, subcontractor management and final accounts.
- A good understanding of NEC contracts and their commercial administration.
- Strong communication, negotiation and organisational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with project delivery teams.
- A relevant Quantity Surveying qualification is desirable.
- Salary of £50,000-£60,000, depending on experience.
