Evoke staffing are recruiting for an experienced Reach Truck driver for our client based in Droylsden. The role is ongoing Mon-Fri 07.30am-16.30pm.
The role is based in a cold store environment with the temp being as low as -20c. PPE will be provided.
Job Overview
Responsibilities
- Safely operate reach trucks to pick, place, load, and unload materials throughout the warehouse
- Use warehouse management systems to track inventory movements accurately
- Perform routine equipment inspections and minor repairs to ensure optimal operation
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities, verifying shipments against documentation
- Handle materials with precision, ensuring proper stacking and storage according to safety standards
- Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse layout and workflow processes
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas to promote a safe working environment
Requirements
- Proven experience operating reach trucks or similar forklift equipment in a warehouse setting
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems for inventory control
- Mechanical knowledge for basic equipment troubleshooting and repairs
- Strong materials handling skills, including heavy lifting and precise placement of goods
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts and measurements
- Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures and safety protocols
- Excellent attention to detail, safety consciousness, and teamwork orientation
