Job Title: Receptionist

Location: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust- Dundee House Reception

Hours: Monday to Friday 08:00AM to 04:00PM and 09:00Am to 05:00PM

Trust Location: City Hospital, Nottingham, Dundee House, City Hospital, Hucknall Road, NG5 1PB

Work Type: Temporary

What you’ll be responsible for:

1. Accurately book, check-in, and cancel outpatient appointments using hospital systems.

2. Ensure patient records and clinic lists are up to date and available for clinical staff.

3. Handle telephone queries in a courteous and timely manner, signposting as necessary.

4. Liaise with medical, nursing, and administrative colleagues to support smooth clinic operations.

5. Maintain confidentiality at all times and comply with Trust policies including data protection and infection control.

You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS

2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times

3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

You’ll have the following skills/experience:

Skills:

· Microsoft Office package knowledge e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel.

· Good telephone manner and professional approach.

· Experienced Receptionist or Administrator with excellent organisational skills.

· Attention to detail and ability to work independently using own initiative.

· Excellent interpersonal skills good and administrative/computer skills.

This role may require you to show evidence of vocational level 3 qualification or at least 2 years relevant experience.
