Purpose of role:
To support the delivery of an efficient and professional recruitment process across ABEC Group. The role works closely with hiring managers, HR team and the Recruitment Director to coordinate recruitment activity, maintain accurate candidate and vacancy information, and ensure candidates receive a positive experience throughout the hiring process.
The role provides day-to-day recruitment administration and coordination, including advertising vacancies, managing applications, arranging interviews, communicating with candidates and supporting the offer and pre-employment process. The Recruitment Coordinator also helps maintain recruitment records and reporting, ensuring recruitment activity is organised, timely and aligned with ABEC’s processes.
Duties:
1. Building and maintaining ABEC’s candidate/pipeline database.
2. Marketing vacancies to the external market through LinkedIn, direct messages, mailshots, job boards and other appropriate channels.
3. Proactively sourcing and approaching potential candidates for current and future vacancies.
4. Making outbound calls to engage with and initially qualify prospective candidates.
5. Managing incoming recruitment enquiries and applications, reviewing and directing
candidates as appropriate. Managing the recruitment mailbox.
6. Coordinating and booking meetings and interviews with candidates and hiring managers.
7. Supporting the organisation and coordination of recruitment events and other candidate attraction activities.
8. Developing and maintaining a good understanding of the BMS/BEMS recruitment market,including relevant roles, skills and candidate availability.
9. Supporting recruitment reporting and tracking activity against agreed recruitment KPIs, including candidate engagement, outreach and meetings arranged.
10. Providing administrative and coordination support to the Recruitment Director throughout the recruitment process.
11. Supporting the wider HR team with administrative duties where required.
12. Ensuring candidates receive timely, professional and consistent communication throughout the recruitment process.
13. Undertaking other reasonable duties as required to support the needs of the business.
Knowledge, skills and experience needed for this position:
· Previous experience in recruitment, HR, administration, coordination or a similar people-focused role would be advantageous.
· Degree-level education or equivalent experience is desirable
· Strong interpersonal skills and confidence communicating with candidates and colleagues at all levels.
· Good written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to build rapport and engage confidently with prospective candidates.
· Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
· Proactive approach with the confidence to follow up actions and drive tasks through to
completion.
· Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
· Good attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate recruitment records and
documentation.
