Recruitment Consultant – Power Transmission & Distribution (Contract)
Active (Pathways) Solutions specialise exclusively in recruiting experienced Mechanical, Electrical and Civil Engineering professionals within the Power Transmission & Distribution sector, including Substations and Cables. We also operate across the wider Utilities and High Voltage markets, primarily on a contract basis.
Due to an unprecedented level of contract wins and continued growth with our established client base, we are looking to recruit an experienced Recruitment Consultant to join our Bradford team and become an integral part of the business.
You might be a Senior Consultant or a Billing Manager, we will certainly consider onboarding an individual with this experience and the salary / package will reflect your expectations.
Our office is based in the BD4 area of Bradford, making it an ideal location for candidates commuting from Leeds and surrounding areas. We are close to the motorway network and offer free on-site parking.

We are looking to recruit an individual to take ownership of an existing desk with live clients and contractors. We require someone with a strong background in sales and recruitment who can hit the ground running and continue to develop the strong relationships already in place.

A background in Power Transmission & Distribution would be advantageous, however we appreciate this is a niche sector. Experience within M&E, Construction or Utilities recruitment, ideally with contract recruitment experience, will be considered.

You will need proven recruitment experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, office-based recruitment role.
Ultimately, your role within the organisation is to increase business levels by generating new clients and attracting new contractors to work for our existing Power Transmission & Distribution clients.

Responsibilities, Skills Required and Duties:
- Develop and build long-term, professional relationships with new and existing clients
- Maintain regular contact with contractors, ensuring accurate availability and continually expanding our network of skilled professionals
- Advertise roles via job boards and social media, ensuring all content is professional, accurate and well-written
- Develop a strong understanding of the Power Transmission & Distribution industry and the technical roles we recruit for (this is an ongoing learning process)
- Take detailed job briefs from clients to improve delivery and understanding
- Conduct weekly client and contractor calls to strengthen relationships, identify issues and generate leads
- Interview candidates both in person and remotely, assessing suitability for available roles
- Deliver consistently high levels of customer service to both clients and candidates
- Maintain accurate client and candidate records, ensuring compliance with legislation and internal procedures
