Recruitment Consultant - Contract Desk in Chichester, West Sussex

Streamline Search is looking for an experienced Contract Recruitment Consultant to join our growing team and help build out our contract recruitment offering within the construction sector.

This is a key hire for the business and would suit someone who has already worked within contract or temporary recruitment and understands how to develop a contractor desk from the ground up.

We already have an established client base across construction, engineering and technical markets and are now looking to expand our contract capability alongside our existing permanent recruitment offering.

The role

You will be responsible for developing and managing a contract recruitment desk, with a strong focus on the construction sector.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Winning new contract and temporary recruitment requirements
• Developing existing client relationships and identifying contract opportunities
• Building and maintaining a strong contractor network
• Sourcing, qualifying and placing contractors into live assignments
• Negotiating pay rates, charge rates and margins
• Managing the recruitment process from initial vacancy through to placement and ongoing assignment
• Maintaining regular contact with clients and contractors
• Working closely with the wider Streamline team to identify cross-selling opportunities
• Building a sustainable book of recurring contract revenue

What we're looking for

• Previous experience within contract or temporary recruitment
• Experience recruiting within construction, engineering or a related technical market
• A proven ability to develop new business and win vacancies
• Strong telephone-based business development skills
• Experience managing contractors and client relationships
• A good understanding of contract recruitment processes and commercial margins
• The confidence to build and grow a desk with a high level of autonomy
• A proactive, resilient and commercially minded approach
• Experience with umbrella companies, PAYE contractors, timesheets and contract compliance would be advantageous.
