Portsmouth, PO6 | £27,000–£30,000 (pro rata if reduced hours) + Commission + 24 Days Holiday + Birthday Off | 27.5–38.5 Hours Per Week | Permanent

Are you a Commercial Recruitment Consultant with at least 1 year’s recruitment experience and the confidence to develop both clients and candidates? An established independent recruitment business in Portsmouth is looking for an experienced Commercial Recruitment Consultant to join its friendly and supportive team. You will manage a busy commercial recruitment desk, developing existing relationships while identifying new business opportunities and sourcing quality candidates across permanent, temporary and contract vacancies. Flexible working hours are available between 27.5 and 38.5 hours per week, making this an excellent opportunity for an experienced recruiter looking for either full-time or reduced hours.

Job Responsibilities

• Support and develop a commercial recruitment desk.
• Build relationships with existing clients and identify new business opportunities.
• Source candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, databases and headhunting.
• Write and advertise vacancies across appropriate recruitment channels.
• Interview candidates and manage them throughout the recruitment process.
• Arrange interviews and provide candidate preparation and feedback.
• Negotiate offers, rates and fees within agreed parameters.
• Manage client and candidate relationships after successful placements.

Skills & Knowledge Required

• Have at least 1 year’s recruitment consultancy experience.
• Demonstrate business development and relationship-building skills.
• Be confident sourcing and engaging candidates proactively.
• Possess excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Work effectively to individual KPIs and revenue targets.
• Manage multiple vacancies and priorities in a busy environment.
• Be organised, self-motivated and commercially focused.
• Hold a full UK driving licence.
