A significant proportion of our temporary workforce is supplied through neutral vendor arrangements, requiring exceptional levels of payroll accuracy, compliance and attention to detail.
We are seeking a Recruitment Payroll & Compliance Specialist to bring our temporary worker payroll function in-house.
The Role
This is a specialist recruitment payroll position responsible for the accurate processing of weekly temporary payroll together with ensuring full compliance with recruitment legislation, client requirements and neutral vendor audit standards.
The successful candidate will become a key member of our back-office team and play an important role in maintaining our reputation for compliance and payroll accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
• Process weekly PAYE payroll for temporary workers.
• Calculate statutory deductions including PAYE and National Insurance.
• Calculate holiday pay and statutory payments.
• Administer workplace pensions and auto-enrolment.
• Process starters and leavers.
• Submit RTI information to HMRC.
• Reconcile payroll against approved timesheets.
• Liaise with consultants regarding payroll queries.
• Resolve worker pay queries promptly.
• Maintain accurate payroll records.
• Assist with payroll reconciliations and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with HMRC requirements.
• Support internal and external compliance audits.
Essential Experience
Applicants must have experience in one or more of the following:
• Recruitment payroll.
• Temporary recruitment.
• Weekly payroll processing.
• PAYE payroll administration.
• HMRC RTI submissions.
• Holiday pay calculations.
• Pension auto-enrolment.
• Payroll reconciliation.
Highly Desirable Experience
Experience of:
• Agency Worker Regulations (AWR)
• Timesheet reconciliation
• Recruitment CRM/ATS systems
• Temporary worker compliance
