Recycling Operative – Holiday Cover

Location: Milton Keynes
Start Date: Monday 27th October
Duration: 5 working days
Hours: 7am-3pm

We are currently recruiting for a Recycling Operative to provide holiday cover at a busy warehouse in Milton Keynes.

This is a hands-on role working within a busy warehouse environment, assisting with the sorting and disposal of different types of waste. Full training will be provided, including approximately 3 days of training at the start of the assignment.

Duties will include:

• Sorting and handling different types of waste
• Baling cardboard and other recyclable materials
• Assisting with general waste disposal
• Handling electrical waste and other recyclable items
• Keeping the warehouse and work areas clean and organised
• Following site health & safety procedures
• Working as part of a busy team and keeping up with the pace of the environment

About you:

• Previous warehouse, recycling, waste or manual handling experience would be beneficial but is not essential
• Comfortable working in a busy, hands-on environment
• Physically fit and happy with a role involving manual work
• Reliable and punctual
• Able to follow instructions and health & safety procedures
• Must have your own suitable PPE, including safety boots and hi-vis

This is a 5-day holiday cover assignment, starting on Monday 27th October, with training provided, so it would suit someone looking for short-term work.
