The Opportunity
A well-established and expanding engineering business is looking to add an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to its growing team, covering Telford and surrounding areas.
The position is predominantly focused on industrial and commercial refrigeration, with a particular emphasis on CO₂ refrigeration systems.
Engineers with Ammonia experience would be highly desirable, although this is not essential. The business is keen to speak with engineers who have a strong CO₂ background and are looking for the opportunity to broaden their technical knowledge and progress within the industry.

Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day work will include:
  • Servicing, maintaining and repairing commercial and industrial refrigeration systems.
  • Working on CO₂ refrigeration plant across a variety of customer sites.
  • Attending reactive breakdowns and carrying out effective fault finding and diagnostics.
  • Completing planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
  • Taking part in the on-call rota, currently 1 in 4, with the expectation that this will improve as the team continues to grow.
  • Ensuring every job is completed safely, efficiently and to a consistently high standard.
Skills & Experience

We're looking for an engineer who can demonstrate:
  • Proven refrigeration service and maintenance experience.
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience of CO₂ refrigeration.
  • A valid F-Gas qualification.
  • Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic ability.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Ammonia experience and/or qualifications would be beneficial, but are not essential.
