Refrigeration Service Engineer

Location: Lincoln (Covering UK Wide)

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7am – 5pm (50 paid hours per week)

We’re looking for a Refrigeration Service Engineer to join an engineering team based in Lincoln. This is an excellent opportunity for an Engineer looking for long-term career progression within a business that genuinely values new ideas and continuous improvement.

This role is based out of Lincoln, however you’ll work across a range of sites throughout the UK.

On-Call & Overtime:

• 1 in 7-week call-out rota
• £100 per day standby payment
• Minimum 4 hours paid at double time if called out
• If late-night call-outs impact rest periods, the following working day is provided as paid leave

Salary & Benefits:

• £20.00 per hour for engineers with relevant experience
• Up to £25.00 per hour for highly experienced engineers, particularly those with Ammonia refrigeration expertise

The Role:

As a Refrigeration Service Engineer, you’ll be responsible for:

• Planned preventative maintenance
• Service, breakdown and repair work on refrigeration systems
• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
• Completing service reports and maintenance documentation
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
• Participating in the on-call rota

This is a field-based role requiring regular travel, with a company van will be provided.

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

• F-Gas Category 1 Certification
• Level 3 qualification in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Experience working on commercial or industrial refrigeration systems
• Fault-finding skills across electrical and mechanical equipment

Desirable:

• Ammonia refrigeration experience
• Background in food manufacturing, cold storage or supermarket refrigeration
• Applicants living within approximately 45 minutes of Lincoln
