Location: Livingston, EH54 8AF
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 + Healthcare + Car Allowance (£5,880 per annum)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm
On Call: 1 in 4 escalation rota (no additional payment)

Our client, a leading provider of facilities services in the UK, are seeking an experienced Regional Engineering Manager with a strong Facilities Management background and a technical or Hard FM bias to lead a multi-service engineering team supporting a key client account. Based in Livingston, this role will oversee services across the Central Belt, ensuring high-quality service delivery, compliance, and operational excellence.

We are looking for a commercially aware leader who can build strong client relationships, manage budgets and performance, and drive continuous improvement across engineering operations. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage engineering operations across the contract, ensuring service excellence at all times.
  • Deliver against KPIs, SLAs, and contractual performance requirements.
  • Ensure full compliance with statutory regulations and planned preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Drive health, safety, environmental and quality standards across all sites.
  • Lead, motivate and develop engineering teams to achieve operational objectives.
  • Manage workforce planning, resource allocation and labour utilisation.
  • Oversee budget control, cost management and financial performance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Significant experience within Facilities Management, ideally with a Hard FM or technical engineering background.
  • Previous experience managing multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
  • IOSH or NEBOSH qualification.
  • Strong understanding of statutory compliance, maintenance operations and engineering best practices.
  • Experience of HSEQ processes including RAMS, SOPs and COSHH assessments.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards and audit processes.
  • Proven budget management and commercial awareness.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • A building services trade background would be advantageous.
