About this Role:

Experienced Site Manager required by this busy regional main contractor to join their team across Basingstoke and Newbury.

You will initially join a £5m industrial project in Basingstoke, helping take the scheme through its final stages to completion around March.

From there, you will move onto a £12m development in Newbury, comprising three new build units for an MOT centre, auction house and medical manufacturing/testing facility.

The Newbury scheme is currently at groundworks and piling stage, with around 14-15 months remaining, taking the project through to completion including the full internal fit-out.

There is also a strong pipeline of repeat work in the surrounding area with this key client.

Duties will include:

· Managing site-based construction activities and subcontractors;

· Assisting with short-term programming and coordination of works;

· Ensuring health and safety standards are maintained across site;

· Monitoring quality and progress against programme;

· Coordinating subcontractors and resolving site issues as they arise;

· Supporting snagging, completion and handover of projects.

The opportunity is with a busy regional Tier 2 main contractor delivering projects typically ranging from £5m-£20m across commercial, education, leisure, industrial, healthcare and residential sectors.

Their geographical focus covers Hampshire, Berkshire, Dorset and Wiltshire, with work secured through a mixture of competitive tenders, regional frameworks and repeat clients.

With a strong reputation for training, development and internal progression, the business has a low turnover of staff and offers excellent long-term career prospects.

Requirements including certificates and qualifications:

You will be an experienced Site Manager with a strong main contracting background and experience supporting the successful delivery of construction projects.

You will possess good technical and organisational skills, strong subcontractor management ability and a sharp eye for quality and detail.

A construction management, engineering or trades background would all be considered, alongside the ability to plan ahead, identify issues and work effectively as part of a wider project team.

You will possess SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications.
