Our client is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Home Manager (Nurse Qualified) to lead a well-established nursing home in Northampton.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Registered Home Manager looking for their next challenge or a strong Deputy Manager ready to take the next step into their first Home Manager role.

The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for the operational, clinical, financial, and regulatory performance of the home, ensuring residents receive safe, effective, and person-centred care while leading and developing a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

As the Registered Home Manager, you will:

  • Provide effective leadership and day-to-day operational management of the nursing home.
  • Ensure the delivery of safe, effective, responsive, and person-centred care in accordance with CQC Fundamental Standards.
  • Lead, motivate, recruit, and develop a skilled multidisciplinary team.
  • Maintain compliance with CQC regulations, safeguarding legislation, clinical governance requirements, and health and safety legislation.
  • Prepare for and lead CQC inspections, internal audits, and quality assurance processes.
  • Oversee clinical governance, medicines management, infection prevention and control, and risk management.
  • Ensure care plans are regularly reviewed and reflect residents' individual needs.
  • Manage staffing levels, recruitment, supervision, appraisals, and ongoing staff development.

Essential Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A valid and unrestricted NMC PIN.
  • Previous experience as a Registered Home Manager within a nursing home or be a strong Deputy Manager with a proven track record of supporting the operational management of a CQC-regulated nursing home and ready to progress into your first Registered Home Manager position.
  • Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, Fundamental Standards, and clinical governance.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and people management skills.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience managing budgets and operational performance.
  • The right to work in the UK.

Desirable

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards if required).
  • Experience achieving or maintaining a Good or Outstanding CQC rating.
  • Experience within elderly nursing, dementia, or complex care services.
  • Experience leading quality improvement and service development initiatives.
