Registered Manager - Children's Residential Home

Our client is an independent provider of children's residential care, committed to delivering high-quality, therapeutic, relationship-based support for children and young people.

They are looking to appoint an experienced Registered Manager to lead the day-to-day running of their children's home, ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding and regulatory compliance. Registered Manager – Children's Residential Home

Location: Greenhithe, Kent
Salary: £60,000–£70,000 per annum + performance-related bonus

Key Responsibilities

  • Register with Ofsted as the Registered Manager.
  • Lead and manage the daily operations of the home.
  • Ensure compliance with the Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
  • Promote a therapeutic, child-centred approach to care.
  • Recruit, lead and develop the staff team.
  • Maintain effective safeguarding practices.
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, local authorities and external agencies.
  • Manage budgets and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent recognised by Ofsted).
  • Minimum of two years' management experience within a children's residential setting.
  • Strong knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations, Quality Standards and safeguarding.
  • Experience working with Ofsted.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable:

  • Experience achieving Good or Outstanding Ofsted inspections.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed or therapeutic models of care.
