Location: Leatherhead
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000
Hours: 40 hours per week (flexibility required)
The Role
Our client is looking for an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead a children's residential home, providing high-quality, therapeutic care and ensuring the very best outcomes for children and young people.
As the Ofsted Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership of the service, ensuring it operates safely, effectively and in full compliance with the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards. You'll lead, develop and inspire your team while creating a positive, nurturing environment where children can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide effective leadership and operational management of the home.
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding legislation and quality standards.
- Lead, motivate and develop a high-performing care team through recruitment, supervision and performance management.
- Oversee care planning, risk assessments and placement matching to ensure the best outcomes for each child.
- Build strong relationships with local authorities, families and external professionals.
- Manage budgets, resources and occupancy levels effectively.
- Promote continuous improvement, preparing for inspections and driving service excellence.
- Participate in the on-call rota and provide operational support where required.
About You
You'll be a confident leader with a genuine commitment to improving the lives of children and young people.
Essential Requirements
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Registered with Ofsted as a Registered Manager, or eligible to register.
- Minimum of 2 years' recent management experience within a children's residential setting.
- Strong knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations, Quality Standards and safeguarding legislation.
- Experience leading and developing teams within a regulated care environment.
- Excellent communication, organisational and decision-making skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
