Registered Manager / Deputy Manager – EBD Children's Residential Home

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Registered Manager to join a well-established children's residential home supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

We are also happy to consider an experienced Deputy Manager with strong children's residential experience who is ready to take the next step in their career and progress into a Registered Manager position.

The Role

As Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and operation of the home, ensuring that young people receive a high standard of care and support in a safe, nurturing and therapeutic environment.

You will work closely with the staff team, professionals and external agencies to ensure the home continues to meet the individual needs of the young people and maintains high standards of safeguarding and care.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operation of the children's residential home
• Lead, support and develop a team of residential childcare workers
• Ensure the home provides high-quality, child-centred care
• Support young people with EBD, challenging behaviour and complex needs
• Maintain strong safeguarding practices
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and Ofsted regulations
• Complete and maintain care plans, risk assessments and relevant records
• Work collaboratively with social workers, education providers, families and other professionals
• Support recruitment, supervision, training and development of staff
• Promote a positive, stable and nurturing environment for young people
• Prepare for and support Ofsted inspections

About You

We are looking for someone with:

• Previous experience working within children's residential care
• Strong experience supporting young people with EBD / challenging behaviour
• Experience in a Registered Manager, Deputy Manager or Senior position
• A good understanding of safeguarding and Ofsted requirements
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• The ability to lead and motivate a team
• A genuine passion for improving outcomes for young people
• A relevant Level 3 or Level 5 qualification in Residential Childcare/Leadership would be desirable
