An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Registered Manager to lead a 7-bed residential service in Leeds.

The service supports adults with dual diagnosis, including Learning Disabilities and Mental Health needs, as well as individuals with challenging behaviours and people within the Transforming Care cohort. The service provides a safe, structured and person-centred environment, supporting individuals to build independence, develop daily living skills and achieve their personal goals.

We are looking for an experienced adult social care manager with strong leadership and people management skills, who is confident overseeing quality, compliance, performance and the day-to-day running of a residential service.

This is an opportunity to take full responsibility for a single residential home, working closely with the Area Operations Manager, colleagues, families, commissioners and other stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes for the people supported.

Key Responsibilities of a Registered Manager:

  • Take overall responsibility for the leadership and management of the residential service.
  • Deliver outstanding care, support and governance across the service.
  • Inspire, develop and support a high-performing team.
  • Ensure the service provides safe, structured and person-centred support.
  • Support individuals to build independence, develop daily living skills and achieve their personal goals.
  • Manage resources effectively to ensure sustainable service delivery.
  • Manage budgets, rotas and performance.
  • Maintain strong oversight of quality and compliance.
  • Drive quality improvement through audits and action planning.
  • Work closely with families, commissioners and other stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Ensure the service operates in line with relevant social care legislation and regulatory requirements.

Key requirements of a Registered Manager:
  • Management experience within adult social care.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Adult Care, or willingness to achieve it.
  • Knowledge of social care legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience supporting people with Learning Disabilities, Mental Health needs or Acquired Brain Injuries.
  • Experience supporting individuals with challenging behaviours is relevant to the service.
  • Budget, rota and performance management experience.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience driving quality and compliance through audits and action planning.
  • Knowledge of therapeutic and non-aversive support approaches is desirable.
  • Full UK Driving Licence is desirable.
