Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
We are recruiting an experienced Registered Manager to lead a specialist 3-bed respite service in Wembley, while providing operational oversight of a co-located Day Care Service and client transport provision.
This is an excellent opportunity for an established CQC Registered Manager or an experienced Deputy Manager ready to step up into registration and take wider operational responsibility.
The Role
Reporting to the Managing Director and working closely with two Senior Coordinators, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality, safe and compliant service delivery across respite, day services and associated transport operations.
Key responsibilities include:
-
Act as the CQC Registered Manager for the respite service, maintaining regulatory compliance and preparing for inspections.
-
Oversee referrals, assessments, risk management, care planning, safeguarding and quality assurance.
-
Provide operational oversight of the Day Care Service and ensure high standards of person-centred support.
-
Oversee the safety, reliability and coordination of client transport arrangements.
-
Line-manage and develop Senior Coordinators, including supervision, appraisal and performance management.
-
Monitor staffing, service quality, occupancy, incidents, complaints, budgets and operational performance.
About You
We are looking for a strong health and social care manager with the leadership skills and regulatory knowledge required to manage a CQC-regulated service.
You should have:
-
Registered Manager experience or substantial Deputy Manager experience within a CQC-regulated service.
-
Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, inspections, quality standards and compliance.
-
Experience managing care staff and senior or supervisory team members.
-
Good knowledge of safeguarding, risk assessments, care planning and quality assurance.
-
Strong organisational, leadership, communication and operational management skills.
-
Flexibility to provide management oversight during weekend respite operations when required.
Qualifications
You should ideally hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care/Health and Social Care, or an equivalent qualification.
Candidates holding Level 4 and actively working towards Level 5 may also be considered where they have suitable management experience.
Desirable Experience
It would be advantageous if you have:
-
Experience within respite care or day services.
-
Experience supporting people with additional or complex needs.
-
Experience overseeing client or community transport.
-
Experience working with local authorities, commissioners or commissioned services.
Working Pattern
This is a full-time, permanent role based in Wembley, working 37.5 hours per week.
The respite provision operates at weekends, so some flexibility will be required to provide appropriate management oversight when necessary. This does not mean routinely working every weekend.
