Sellick Partnership Ltd are supporting a well-established and highly regarded housing association with recruiting an experienced Resales Executive to join their Home Ownership team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in residential property sales, Shared Ownership or housing, who is passionate about delivering excellent customer service and managing property transactions from start to finish.
The Role
As a Resales Executive, the successful candidate will take responsibility for managing the resale of Shared Ownership properties, acting as the main point of contact for homeowners and prospective purchasers throughout the process.
The role will involve coordinating sales from initial instruction through to completion, ensuring that all administrative, financial and compliance requirements are completed accurately and within agreed procedures.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing Shared Ownership property resales from start to completion.
- Acting as the main point of contact for homeowners and prospective buyers.
- Advising customers on the resale process and providing clear and accurate information.
- Assessing buyer applications and checking eligibility for relevant home ownership schemes.
- Carrying out financial assessments and ensuring buyers meet the required qualifying criteria.
- Completing Anti-Money Laundering and other necessary compliance checks.
- Liaising with solicitors, Local Authorities, HomeBuy Agents and other external partners.
- Arranging and assisting with property viewings and providing accurate property information.
- Maintaining accurate records and updating internal systems throughout the sales process.
- Preparing reports, statistics and updates for management and external partners.
- Supporting the promotion of Shared Ownership and other home ownership schemes.
- Assisting with open days, launches and external housing events when required.
- Working collaboratively with internal teams to ensure enquiries and customer cases are dealt with efficiently.
- Ensuring all activity is carried out in accordance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience within a busy property sales, residential sales, housing or customer-focused environment.
You will have a good understanding of the property sales process and conveyancing, together with an understanding of mortgages, affordability and the challenges faced by first-time buyers.
The role would suit an organised and commercially aware individual who is confident managing multiple cases and competing priorities while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
You will also need:
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- The ability to build effective relationships with customers and professional stakeholders.
- Good attention to detail and the ability to work accurately with financial and numerical information.
- The ability to work independently and use initiative while following established procedures.
- Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel.
- The ability to communicate with empathy and professionalism when dealing with sensitive or challenging customer situations.
- A flexible approach and the ability to respond positively to changing priorities.
