We are recruiting dedicated and compassionate Residential Children's Support Workers to join our trauma-informed residential services at Newbury House and Stirling House. The Role As a Residential Children's Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people within a therapeutic residential setting. You will help create a stable, positive, and nurturing home environment while promoting independence, resilience, education, and emotional wellbeing.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building positive and trusting relationships with children and young people
  • Supporting daily routines, activities, and life skills development
  • Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
  • Safeguarding and protecting vulnerable children at all times
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports
  • Supporting children to achieve their personal goals and aspirations
What We're Looking For To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Level 3 Diploma/NVQ in Children’s Residential Care (Essential)
  • Full UK Driving Licence (Essential)
  • Full Right to Work in the UK with no restrictions or expiry (Essential)
  • Previous experience working with children and young people in a residential setting
  • A caring, resilient, and professional approach
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Salary & Benefits
  • Annual salary of £31,259
  • Includes a £1,400 attendance bonus, paid quarterly
  • £46.01 sleep-in allowance per sleep
  • Regular sleep-ins available (typically 2 per week)

Working Pattern This role operates on a rotational shift pattern, including:

  • Early shifts
  • Long day shifts
  • Late shifts
  • Sleep-in duties
Flexibility is required to meet the needs of the service and the young people supported.

  • Newbury House
  • Stirling House
  • NG24 area
