TeacherActive is currently recruiting Residential Support Staff to work within a residential care setting in the Drefach area. This is a rewarding opportunity for dedicated, compassionate, and adaptable individuals looking to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people.

• Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people within a residential setting
• Build positive, trusting relationships with residents
• Support emotional wellbeing, independence, and personal development
• Help maintain a safe, structured, and nurturing environment
• Encourage engagement in daily routines, activities, and education
• Respond calmly and effectively to challenging situations and behaviours
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals to meet individual care plans

✅ Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs
✅ Ability to support young people who may have experienced trauma or severe crises
✅ Strong communication and interpersonal skills
✅ Calm, resilient, and empathetic approach
✅ Ability to work effectively as part of a team
✅ A positive, proactive, and flexible attitude
✅ Enhanced DBS on the Update Service and SCW registration  (essential)
✅ Full UK Driving Licence (preferred but not essential) and willingness to work a mix of days, nights and weekends.
