TML Recruitment is representing an independent, multidisciplinary property firm based in London, established for nearly a century. The business provides a comprehensive range of services across the commercial and residential sectors, including valuation and advisory, auctions, agency, asset management, and property management.

Role Overview
Due to continued growth, the firm is seeking a Chartered Surveyor / Registered Valuer (minimum three years post‑qualified) with experience in development valuations and general property valuations to join its Development Consultancy and Valuation & Advisory teams. Experience in loan security valuations is essential.
The Development Consultancy team advises housing associations, local authorities, and private developers on residential and commercial projects throughout Greater London, the Home Counties, and beyond. A working knowledge of affordable housing, regeneration, compulsory purchase, and viability appraisals would be advantageous.
The Valuation team focuses on loan security valuations for both commercial and residential properties, undertaking valuations across Greater London and the Home Counties for purposes such as loan security, financial reporting, acquisition, disposal, tax planning, and portfolio management.

Key Responsibilities
- Undertake RICS Red Book valuations of commercial and residential properties, including new builds, development sites, affordable housing, retail, offices, industrial, and residential assets.
- Carry out development appraisals on properties with and without planning permission.
- Work collaboratively with external advisors such as planning consultants, architects, and viability specialists on regeneration and redevelopment projects.
- Advise clients on acquisitions and disposals.
- Conduct inspections, take measurements, and perform market research to support accurate valuation reporting.
- Liaise with clients, legal advisers, and other stakeholders throughout the valuation process.
- Manage a diverse caseload and deliver high‑quality work within agreed deadlines.
- Support business development, client retention, and fee generation initiatives.
- Attend client meetings, presentations, and industry events.
- Collaborate across service lines and mentor junior surveyors where appropriate.
Person Specification
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with experience producing formal and informal reports.
- Excellent analytical ability, numeracy, and attention to detail.
- Proven valuation experience across multiple property types for loan security and other purposes.
- Familiarity with lender panels and loan security processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and valuation software such as Argus Developer, Argus Enterprise, Valos, and/or KEL.
- Ability to prioritise, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines efficiently.
