Location: Deal, Kent
Salary: £12.84 per hour
Hours: Part time – 2 days per week (Need to be fully flexible)
Contract Type: Temporary, for 5/6 weeks

About the Role 

As the Retail Supervisor, you will be instrumental in ensuring the store thrives as a key source of income while maintaining its reputation as a welcoming hub for the community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Retail Manager in day-to-day operations.
• Showcase your creative flair through exceptional merchandising.
• Manage stock, from sorting and pricing donations to maintaining inventory.
• Inspire and mentor volunteers to develop their retail skills.
• Handle essential administrative tasks such as till reconciliation, banking, and arranging deliveries.
• Support and promote the Gift Aid scheme to maximise revenue from donations
• Adhere to health and safety policies, ensuring a safe environment for staff, volunteers, and customers

Principal Accountabilities: 

• Price, prepare, and maintain stock following guidelines, creating an attractive, clean shopping environment
• Support, train, and motivate volunteers, fostering a positive, productive team environment
• Provide excellent service to all visitors, representing Pilgrims Hospices with warmth and professionalism
• Follow Trading Standards and other regulations to ensure all items are compliant for sale
