Revenue Growth Manager (RGM) - Food & FMCG
Henderson Brown Recruitment
A revenue growth management role where the groundwork has already been done - and what's needed now is someone senior to take it up a level.
Revenue Growth Manager (RGM) - Food & FMCG
Home-based, remote (UK), with occasional travel to head office
£70,000-£80,000 + private medical + matched pension
Permanent
The Opportunity
We're supporting a long-established food manufacturer with the appointment of a Revenue Growth Manager.
This is a standalone role covering the full RGM remit across both branded and customer own brand portfolios, in multiple channels. You'll own pricing strategy and governance, price-pack architecture, promotional strategy and ROI, trade spend allocation and control, and profitability by customer, channel and category.
What makes it unusual is the starting point. A credible benchmark is already in place across each of these areas, so this isn't building RGM from nothing - it's taking something that works and making it materially better, then embedding it across the commercial teams.
It's a business that runs lean and pragmatically, so you'll be doing the modelling and the analysis as well as presenting the recommendations. In return, you get real proximity to decision-making and a direct route to the senior leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
You'll own the revenue growth management agenda end to end, with the priorities being:
- Developing annual pricing strategy, leading pricing reviews and supporting cost price increase recovery.
- Building price-pack architecture and mix strategy that improves net revenue and gross margin.
- Optimising trade spend investment and evaluating promotional ROI through robust post-event analysis.
- Delivering profitability analysis by customer, channel, category and product, and acting on what it shows.
- Leading revenue bridge reporting, trade spend reviews and RGM forums with senior stakeholders.
- Partnering Sales, Marketing, Category and Supply Chain through customer planning and JBP cycles.
What We're Looking For
You'll bring several years in revenue growth management, commercial finance or category finance, gained in consumer goods - food, drinks, household, personal care or similar branded environments.
What matters most is that you've done this properly somewhere: real pricing and promotional optimisation work, credible trade spend governance, and profitability analysis that changed commercial behaviour rather than sitting in a deck. You'll be strong with category and market data, confident building financial models, and able to turn analysis into a clear recommendation that people act on.
Because this is a standalone role, you'll need the presence to influence senior commercial stakeholders directly and the pragmatism to work without a large support function around you.
Why Join?
This is a chance to own a discipline outright in a business where it visibly matters. Pricing, promotional effectiveness and trade spend are central to how this business improves its margin, and the person in this role has a direct line to that.
You'll have genuine senior visibility - quarterly trade spend reviews with the leadership team, and a reporting line into a commercial director who already understands RGM and will back the work.
The role is home-based with occasional head office travel, and there's scope to build a team around the function as it matures.
