Location:
 Richmond
Pay / salary: £55,869 (inclusive of LWA), £36 per hour overtime rate + bonus enabling earnings in excess of £80,000.
Job type: Permanent / Full time role
Shift and schedule for the Roadside Technician role:
40 hours per week, averaged over the year. Scheduling visibility – Working pattern issued seven days in advance and can be subject to change until being fully confirmed three days ahead of time. Working hours range is 6.00am – 02.00am across Monday to Sunday. Rest and recovery – 11 hours of rest between shifts.

Job Responsibilities for the Roadside Technician role
• Attend roadside breakdowns and assess vehicle faults quickly and accurately.
• Carry out mechanical and electrical repairs at the roadside, including battery replacements, wheel changes, and minor engine fixes.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify issues and determine repair options.
• Provide temporary solutions when full repair isn’t possible, ensuring member mobility.
• Advise members clearly on next steps, including recovery if needed.
• Work safely and efficiently in varied environments and conditions.

What you’ll need to a be considered for the Roadside Technician role
• Must have a minimum of Level 2 in light vehicle maintenance and repair or ideally Level 3 light vehicle maintenance and repair qualification (City & Guilds, IMI, NVQ, or equivalent)
• Must have a minimum 2-year post-qualification hands on experience with vehicles. Either in a workshop or mobile vehicle type role.
• Must have a full UK driving licence
