This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy environment, managing customer orders, liaising with production and providing first-class customer service. Ideally, you will have experience of working within an engineering / manufacturing / Production environment and enjoy coordinating customer orders from receipt through to dispatch.
THE SALES ADMINISTRATOR POSITION:
You will provide key sales administration and customer service support, ensuring customer orders are processed accurately, tracked effectively and delivered on time.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Processing and managing customer orders from receipt through to dispatch.
- Reviewing customer purchase orders and contracts, ensuring approvals and credit checks are completed.
- Producing internal work route cards for new orders.
- Liaising with production and internal teams to agree manufacturing and dispatch dates.
- Monitoring orders and proactively managing on-time delivery and dispatch.
- Communicating directly with customers regarding order progress, delivery dates and delays.
- Acting as the first point of contact for customer queries and issues.
- Providing excellent pre-sales and post-sales customer service.
- Generating invoices and maintaining accurate sales records.
- Maintaining customer information, product price lists and internal systems.
- Managing sales administration documentation, including scanning, filing and updating records.
- Supporting occasional customer site meetings, providing progress updates and reports.
- Completing internal audits in line with the company schedule.
We are looking for an organised, reliable and customer-focused individual with previous experience in Sales Administration, Sales Support, Internal Sales Coordination, Customer Service or Order Processing.
Ideally, you will have worked within an engineering, manufacturing or technical environment and understand the importance of accurate administration, process management and meeting customer deadlines.
- Previous Sales Administrator / Sales Support / Customer Service experience.
- Experience in engineering, manufacturing or a technical environment is desirable.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong organisation and attention to detail.
- Experience managing customer orders and purchase orders.
- Good process management skills.
- Ability to coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Confident dealing directly with customers (In person, Via email and over the phone)
- Proficient IT and administration skills and experience of working on ERP / CRM systems.
- A proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Competitive salary up to £35,000, depending on experience.
- Full-time, permanent position.
